Nov. 10, 2022 – Ben Hellbusch, Co-Owner of Duo Lift Manufacturing in Columbus, Neb. was recently elected President of the Board of Directors of the Farm Equipment Manufacturers Association during the Fall Marketing & Distribution Convention in Orlando, Fla. He joins other executives from throughout North America who represent shortline manufacturers, a segment of the farm equipment industry that designs and builds equipment to complement mass-produced lines.
Hellbusch is the third generation to operate Duo Lift Manufacturing, a family-owned business that produces specialty farm trailers and wagons such as fertilizer tank trailers and combine head haulers. He joined the inside sales and marketing department of the business in 2006 and has been in his VP role since 2012. He grew up working in the factory and on the family farm and earned a degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Hellbusch also serves as the general manager/partner of Busch Equipment Company, a sister company to Duo Lift. Busch Equipment is a distribution and sales agency that represents 16 farm equipment manufacturers across the United States.
Hellbusch becomes part of a 16-person governing board for the Association headquartered in St. Louis. The Association serves as a voice, advocate, and resource for companies throughout the United States and Canada that represent each link in the shortline supply chain: those who provide tools and resources to manufacturers, the manufacturers, and those who market the equipment.
Hellbusch and his wife Abbi currently live in Columbus, Neb. They have four children, Jack, Sam, Miles, and Eli.
